Quilt Walk

The Quilt Walk was great!!!!! I had so much fun teaching those lady's in my classes. They were all great, they picked up on the Brazilian Embroidery fast, I was so proud of all of them. I am happy to say that I will be going back again next year to teach again.

For those of you that have not been, you should really try to get over there, even just to drive threw the town, when you first drive into town, in any of the directions you can come in, they have quilts hanging everywhere. We loved it.Store pictures 012
It was raining so they didn't have as many quilt as they usually do, but none the less is was fun.

We drove over to Hatch to eat at a great little diner called Adobe Cafe. It was so good, I don't usually order tuna at a restaurant but something about her tuna salad sandwich just sounded good, when I got it I was not disappointed, it was not fishy at all it was huge and also one of those messy yet great sandwiches. Definitely a place I recommend. Good o'l country food :).

Thanks again Lady's for all your hard work.

The new spot!

Some of you may have heard, that change is in the wind? Well let me confirm this change, Stitching it up is moving to a new location. The new location is 60 N Main Street, right in good old down town, many of you know this quaint old shop (alley) from its days as an eye dr, Shoe repair, and antique shop.  Well now it will be my new spot.

Our last day at Sew Swanky will be this saturday, the 25th. We will be closed for a few days for the move, Then I will open up hopefully on thursday the 30th.

Kims store 3 small

If you are not familiar with this spot it is located right next to Jolley's Ranch Wear and Holm's Barber shop, so bring those hubbys by to get thier hair cut while you browse the new store, that way they wont know what your really up too :).

This is a sad yet new and exciting venture for me. I just want to tell all of you that have supported me so far, Thank You.

B.D.E.I.G Seminar 2008

I Just wanted to let everyone know B.D.E.I.G Seminar 2008, was GREAT!!! Glenda and I had an amazing time, (well after missing our plane by 4 min on the way to Portland, and being on standby for the next plane), we finally made it there. Portland was beautiful, green and wet. We had the amazing opportunity to meet so many designers and fellow Brazilian embroiderers, and to also learn from them. I have a few new tricks up my sleeve now, that I cant wait to pass them on.

B.D.E.I.G Seminar 2008

Brazilian Dimensional Embroidery International Guild is having there 2008 Seminar, June 9th-15th, @ Concordia University, Portland, Oregon. I am very excited to go to this, I am going to have the chance to meet the Big Wigs:  Debbie Kelly, the Elegant Roses & Monogram Mania designer you are all familiar with. Rosalie M. Wakefield, Loretta Holzberger, Anna Grist & Gayl Ratigan. I also get to have the great opportunity to take a few classes from Anna Grist and Gayl Ratigan. I think the funnest part is that I get to drag Glenda VanBuskirk along with me (like I really have to drag her).

We will let you know all about it when we get home and all the new stuff we find out.
