Stitching It Up

Wow it has been a long time!

Like I said it has been a long time since I wrote a post!!! But I can not believe how fast the time has flown bye. We have had so much going on, and so much new stuff that I don't even know where to start.

Well we got in the Amy Butler LOVE line, Moda's 3 sisters ASTER MANOR line and Sandy Henderson's MEADOW SWEET line.

Some others that are on there way just to name a few of them: Patty Young's FLORA & FAUNA Line, Heather Bailey's NICEY JANE line and lots and lots more!!!

I also want to wish you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

We will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, then the BEST news is that we will open Friday from 9AM to 12pm for a HUGE SALE!!!! Everything in the store will be on sale.

I will keep you posted on what we are doing in December, we are having a lot of small classes, (great gift idea classes). Fun sewing nights and a Christmas Bazaar with home decor on Dec 4th and 5th.

It arrives tomorrow!!!!!

I can't believe it is finally here!!! What you say is finally here?  Rouenneries by French General, I am so excited about it.

I have had a lot of other stuff too that silly me has not even taken the time to talk about it, I received the LOVE line by Amy Butler and man is it gorgeous!!! 

I think I am going to be very busy this next coming month with making stuff for the store, Christmas presents (eek! Yes I said it, Christmas). Well with it snowing outside as I type this I can't help but think of it. I am actually a little excited about it, I have a few thing that have already been put together for someone in mind for Christmas, and no I am not going to say what they are because some of you might guess that it is for you and we can't risk that now can we.

Now the next thing and the hardest thing is trying to decide on which laptop to buy? I sold my cute little net book to my sister-in-law Jenny and now I have to buy a new one and I just don't know which one to get. So if any of you can point me in the right direction I would LOVE it, I know I would love to get a Mac, but budget wise I just don't know if that is in the picture.

Well I think I have said all that is on my mind and I guess I better get back to work. Like I said I have to finish my project that I am making now so I can play tomorrow with my new Rouenneries! :)

Andalucia & Mezzanine By Patty Young

We finally got it!!!! I am SO excited to finally get to play with it, I just love it! Now we just have to decide what to make with it, I do know what I want to make, I just have to decide which project to make first :). Do I make a quilt or do I make an outfit??? That is where the battle is because they are all so cute.

We have found so many fun cute patterns for both lines.

I am working on putting them on the web for those of you that can't run in the store to see them but just have to have it like we did.

A CONTEST!!!

Giggles

Well I guess first things first, Stitch and Knit night will not be the full night we will end @ 7:00, reason being we have to head up to Salt Lake for Olivia, she has an appointment first thing Wednesday morning. Her shots finally got here and now we just have to take her up to get the education on them, and to make sure she has no reaction to the medication.

She is so exciteded, yet so nervous in the same breath that all she does is giggle the whole time you talk to her about it. Then there is little brother patting her arm saying "It will be great sis". Now if that doesn't melt your heart I don't know what will. So hopefully I will get a lot of sewing done in the car, or I will read which ever one hits me.

The July Jamboree was great! Man that thing is getting bigger and bigger each year, it was almost down to Bradshaw's, soon it will be. The sell went great also. Thank you to all of you that came in, we had a lot of fun.

Quilt Walk

The Quilt Walk was great!!!!! I had so much fun teaching those lady's in my classes. They were all great, they picked up on the Brazilian Embroidery fast, I was so proud of all of them. I am happy to say that I will be going back again next year to teach again.

 

For those of you that have not been, you should really try to get over there, even just to drive threw the town, when you first drive into town, in any of the directions you can come in, they have quilts hanging everywhere. We loved it.

It was raining so they didn't have as many quilt as they usually do, but none the less is was fun.

We drove over to Hatch to eat at a great little diner called Adobe Cafe. It was so good, I don't usually order tuna at a restaurant but something about her tuna salad sandwich just sounded good, when I got it I was not disappointed, it was not fishy at all it was huge and also one of those messy yet great sandwiches. Definitely a place I recommend. Good o'l country food :).

Monday

Wow it is already after 5 on Monday and I don't know where the day or the weekend went.

I spent friday finishing Clancy & Clarabel. They are so cute, the kids have already tested my stitching by throwing them and swinging them around by the arms and legs.

Then I spent Saturday with my husbands mom Sally getting all the kits ready for the Brazilian Embroidery class on Friday. Sally is going to be watching the store for me Thursday and Friday, so you guys come in and say HI to her. 

Then we went to get the kits ready for the Thursday Knit class. I realized I didn't have the pattern so I wrote one up and spent all day Sunday knitting and tim ming myself to see how long it would take me to knit the pattern I wrote so that we would have enough time in the class to do them.

Well I did it. We have 3 hours and I hope we can do it in that time, we should.

I think they are pretty cute also.

Now here it is Monday night and I spent today reorganizing the store and putting more of the new things away, and didn't get any sewing done, well better luck tomorrow right????

I guess I can't wait for Quilt walk this weekend.

IT"S BACK!!!!

Ok so I am so excited, I sent off Once Upon a Time to Lori on Tuesday, and can I just say "I love ya Lori you spoil me so much", (I'm not complaining).

IT'S BACK! She finished it and brought it to me Saturday night, and let me tell you it is soooo cute, I loved it before and now I just cherish it, I sent an email to Melly the designer and I am also excited to say that my quilt will be the first one that she has seen completed! YAHOO!!

Ok when I get it all bound I will put up a picture of it, I will put a picture of a block on for now just to wet the appetite though.. Come in and sign up for this or just send me an email, I am just waiting for my white fabric and then we can all start this one. I am so excited.
